Obesity Global was founded in 2024 as the world’s first umbrella organisation bringing together key stakeholders in the field of obesity. We unite patient organisations, clinicians, researchers, and advocates working with both childhood and adult obesity – with a strong focus on both prevention and treatment.

Our board reflects this broad commitment, with members representing patient communities, clinical expertise, and research across all age groups. Together, we work to reduce stigma, promote equitable and evidence-based care, support prevention strategies, and ensure that the voices of those living with obesity are heard in policy, practice, and public discourse.
